OfflineI think it would have helped, racerone, if you had asked for personal recommendations instead of asking who people on the board think is the "best". It stirs up feelings (in both camps) when you ask a hobbyist to name his favorite. That is like this competion of Provider of the Year which I think is… well whatever.
I cannot understand how a "personal recommendation" will help you if you don't know these people personally. Do you come to mixers? That was like chumming for personal information, which most people on this board hold dear to their hearts. Mindful thinking~~~ it is a good practice.

The main reason I posted this was so everyone could have some fun and share more info on who everyone likes the most but not for the overall experience/looks/ambiance/location just for the massage… If you are very "sensitive" to this subject its as easy as not clicking on the link. I don't see anything wrong with my thread, aren't we all here to share our opinions?
Thank you everyone who shared your opinions I CANT WAIT TO VISIT JANE!!!!

OfflineJane's awesome, you'll love her…as are Corina, Angel, Billie, Sabrina, Britt, Bree, Belle, Rhonda, Steve, Nikki and SO many wonderful therapists here that I can't begin to name them all (yet they all have extremely different styles). I'm not a fan of popularity contests as I hate to see anyone left out, ever. Also, I don't favor voting for favorites or bests since votes are merely "opinions". Although it's meant to be harmless and fun, voting opens the possibility for someone who may be new and great yet less known to be left out of recognition. I've encountered therapists who were highly trained yet gave a mediocre experience and others who were self or informally taught who were outstanding.
Chemistry mixed with technique and an environment that best suits your personal taste is always what it's about. Ask 50 people and you'll likely to get 50 different answers.
In my opinion, base value decisions on facts vs votes. Take a look at available reviews and average the scores (some sites actually list by score = rank). Again, you should never count anyone out who may only have 1-2 reviews nor should you let any review sway your decision if the chemistry and desired experience seemed to be in line with what YOU like. There are many factors in what makes someone a favorite or the best, all that really matters is that the choice you make is BEST for YOU!
…Bailey :)
I agree with Bailey totally and not because she is one of my favorites.
The ones that Bailey have listed and including Bailey are great and so are the ones on the right side of the list home page.
And repeating what I have already mentioned in the other forum topic that I get asked by the other gents at the mixers, the big question, "who do you recommend?" I then ask them, "what exactly are you looking for?" More therapeutic, more sensual, someone who is quiet, someone who is a good talker, someone who uses scented oils or some with some other traits?
Everything depends on each individual needs and wants and every provider (the ones I been to so far) is different and unique. The main benefit of the mixer is to meet someone that interests you, maybe based on looks, and you get some idea of what they offer by just talking to them. Maybe it is exactly what you are looking for in a session or maybe not, but you get some sense. I always look for some chemistry between us which determines if I want to go see them or not. Sometimes it did not work the way I was expecting, but most of the time I got exactly what I wanted.

OfflineYou have to stop and read the different reviews and do some leg work on your own to find the one who is "best at giving the massage" and it is really only due to personal preference that makes each one of the providers the best. I have seen a few of the providers here and almost all are wonderful providers but a couple of them did not provide what I wanted in a massage or we didn't click, no big deal. I moved on to another but have gone back to some at a later time to try again.
I think you should read the reviews objectively and get your own idea of what "kind" of massage experience the provider is capable of doing and if that is what you are looking for. Then jump in and make an appointment and be willing to talk to the provider and let them know what YOU are wanting from the massage. Finally, after the massage you have to say to yourself, how was my massage? Was it what I asked wanted and mostly, was it what I asked for. Don't flame the provider on here if you didn't get the massage you wanted and didn't bother to tell them you wanted. That's your fault not theirs.

OfflineBack on subject…I just met with Ariel from downtown… I really liked the massage and her techniques…
Crazychemist… Smile, no one is talking about negative stuff on here and that was no the point of this thread. nor was it to create a competition with the providers.
just here to brag about my last massage…
ps other great providers I cant wait to see again are Angel Cassidy, Jane, and would love to meet Harley Billie Bailey Bree and all of the other active providers on here… untill then I'll keep buying lotto tickets lol…

OfflineI agree, I wish I could win the lottery. But providers that are my favorites are those that have a "connect" for me. The total experience, conversation, massage, a feeling of no rush just being in the moment with a warm pleasant person. Over a glass of wine perhaps. For the total package as mentioned above, my favorites are Bree, Rhonda, Candy O, Sabrina. All different, but my tops.

OfflineSeems like quite a range of opinion on who is the "best" and I since no one hobbyist could ever experience all providers available in our area the answer to this question should be based on personal experience. But that again begs the question: what exactly are you looking? You either want a FBSM, something more, something less or simply the best therapeutic massage when your body is hurting. Getting the best of both worlds is extremely difficult to fine.
Now the names of many fine providers have been put forth so I will not repeat them. But when it comes to getting a therapeutic only massage I submit that there is one name that IMHO stands out among all the crowd and that person is Bing. I have seen enough massage therapists in my life to know the real deal when it comes to massage. She is among the best there currently is just as there are other great therapists that I have previously reviewed. BTW, Bing's downtown location is probably the best place to see her but you need to call ahead to arrange time.

OfflineOK I must update my last post to add one more name to the "best there is" based on more current experience. I still hold Bing in high regard and to that I would must add Margaret (760-688-5329) in Sorrento Valley. They are the two best IMHO and equally worth your visit. It really amounts to how far you want to travel and perhaps your expectations. BTW, Margaret just added another provider at her location named Michelle (very good) but not "great" like the master.

OfflineEveryone has an their own opinion and it is just that for most of your choices but at least the names you offer should be backed up by 5 stars reviews from more than just yourself and most are but some are not. That said I just came back from experiencing a massage from a person who I have never tried before but is a 5 star (thereapeutic only) provider and was impressed beyond my expectation. I consider her to be a "Premiere Provider" when asked by The-Hobbyist. So who is this person I consider to be among the best there is: "Suki, the ultimate massage experience!" And if pushed to select the best I have given so far, considering all the factors, my vote goes to her.
BTW, my new review should be up soon.

Who would you recommend for the best massage that is NOT only therapeutic? But seems to be just because she is so good?
I think Nirvana Angel is fantastic, would like to know what everyone else thinks??
ABOUT ME: I am not very active with the providers because I currently travel quite a bit… but when I am in town I sure try and make some time…
Nirvana tops the charts
