OfflineAccording to the North County Times, the Escondido City Father's, in an attempt to protect us all from the evils going on behind closed doors, have approved an new ordinance cracking down on massage parlors. See:
http://www.nctimes.com/news/lo…..15b20.html
Quoting from my favorite part of the article:
"Therapists are also prohibited from touching a customer's pubic region, genitals, nipples or the colored circle of skin surrounding the nipple. In addition, neither the therapist nor the customer are allowed to expose any of those areas during the massage."
Guess I'll have to keep my shirt on next time I get a massage. Oh well, I've always preferred independent practitioners over massage parlors anyway.

Offline"the colored circle of skin surrounding the nipple." ?? Ummm… areola? Intellegent bunch of goofs up there in Escondido City Hall. This article definately sounds like a Rick Perry scheme. Maybe he wants all that massage biz to move to Texas. Certainly don't seem wanted in Escondido.
And the so-called reason:
I guess since they cannot profile hispanics anymore they need to find some way to fatten city coffers. Excellent reporting laplaya. The image of someone getting a massage in his skivvies and tshirt is definately a chuckle. At least the foot fetishists were spared this round. Next it will be socks… must wear socks during a massage.

Bree, I fear that you may have inadvertently tipped off the Escondido City Counsel to the possibility that there might be foot massage going on somewhere within their fine city, and we all know what naked feet can lead to. . . .
I can hear them drafting an amendment to their ordinance now. It will read something like: "Therapists are prohibited from touching the bare feet, or the five little piggies attached thereto."
These guys seemingly have very little understanding of massage, or human anatomy, and yet they are empowered to regulate the massage therapists, who actually have training in both massage and anatomy. Makes me wonder who's running the asylum. . .
